turquoise #7112 blenko glass vase

The Blenko glass company was founded in 1921 in West Virginia and originally produced stained glass. The company rose to prominence during World War II and the following three decades because of the emerging Studio Glass movement in America and abroad.  This vase was designed by Blenko Design Director, John Nickerson, in 1971. Produced for a little under two years vase #7112 is somewhat rare, especially in the bright turquoise blue color that Blenko was known for.
